Power of Words

"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few."Winston Churchill- August 20, 1940. Was first said when Churchill visited an operations room on a day of battle. These words were meant to inspire his countrymen after so many battles the their situation was now much better.

"Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength."
Winston Churchill - May 13, 1940. This quote comes from the speech "Blood, toil, tears, and sweat" giving during the Battle of France. This was Churchill's first speech to the House after taking over Prime Minister. These words were used to help Motivate the British in one of the most dangerous period of the war.

"We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on beaches, landing grounds, in fields, in streets and on the hills. We shall never surrender." Winston Churchill- June 4, 1940.This was also said by Churchill in front of the House of Commons trying to revive the British spirits during one of their finest hours .

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will say, "This was their finest hour." Winston Churchill- June 18, 1940. Another great line spoken by Churchill once again in front of the House of Commons. This was given in the speech anticipating the Battle of Britain. This was the third speech given to the house of commons trying the revive the British morale.
